Welcome to Kamren's Room!!
Kamren Charles Keller is expected to arrive sometime in June, 2005. In preparation for his arrival, we have been working hard to build a suitable habitat for the newest (and probably most expensive) addition to our zoo. We look forward to watching him grow into a splendid example of a male Homo sapiens.
Here are a few pictures of his nursery, which has been created with the help of many of our family members and dearest friends. We invite you all to come see for yourself once he has arrived and settled in.
This awesome door plaque was sent to us by my friend, Ginger, with whom I have worked and played with online for several years. Her lovely rendition of the border I had chosen brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Ginger!!
This is straight inside the doorway. The window looks out into the real Turtle Garden in the front yard. Don't you love how the big sea turtle that Rich's Mom gave us just hangs out from the armoire?? He's adorable!! Thanks to my Mom and Poppa Ted for their help with the furnishings- they are great, and look super in the room!
This is the crib wall, with the bedding set I fell in love with. Watching over the crib is a giant turtle wall hanging (I call it the kangaroo turtle because of the pouch with the baby turtle). Thanks, Momma and Poppa Stone!!
Here's the crib itself, with the sea turtle from my Mom, the froggy rattle/teething ring from my friend Erin, and the soft turtle I bought. See why I loved this bedding set - just look at those turtles!?!?
Here's the changing table and bookshelf, along with the glider. See the little wall hangings - they match the bedding. Awwwww......
Now you can see some of the cute things currently on the bookshelf. (I know, there will be lots more stuff to add later!) I really love the cross-stich from Rich's Grandmom - she has made one like this for all the great-grandchildren, I'm told. How special is that?? I love it! And that big-mouth turtle in the middle will be a great "hold-it" for little things like diaper creams, etc. You can't tell from the picture, but he's got a really big mouth compartment!
Here's my comfy glider where I will sit and rock Kamren to sleep. Note the gorgeous, soft quilt that my dear friend Melissa made for us. I cried when I saw it - I can't imagine how much work it took to make it. Thank you, Melissa!!
Isn't this lamp great??? Poppa Stone sent this to us - I love that the shell lights up, too!!
Here's what I see when sitting in the glider, looking back at the door.
Kamren will learn to tell time with his own clock!!
And lastly, here's an up-close shot of the border that my sister, Carla, and her husband Pete, helped me decoupage onto the wall. The wall color doesn't show well, but it's a similar pale green to the backdrop of this page. Thank you, Carla and Pete!!
ADDED: Oh, some of you have inquired as to where we have registered. We are registered at www.Walmart.com , www.babycenter.com, and www.babydepot.com
Well, I hope you have enjoyed your tour of Kamren's new digs. Please come see it in person sometime!
